    Data Retrieval...maybe

I have a complete backup of a Windows 7 computer, and I need to get my personal files from it. The same thing that took out my PSU and MB also killed my HDD. Does anyone know how I can get my stuff from the backup onto my Windows 10 machine?

Get the backup, browse the folder created... plenty of zip files inside...
If you have an "image" backup, you can attach the virtual disk file to a win7+ machine in disk management

I am not that sure whether it is possible, all my important files are stored on my external hard drive. It is easier for me to transfer my file to a new PC once it crashes.
